Walk through this list. Identify which of the seven idea blocks exist in your organization. For each challenge, we share a design strategy that Brainzooming employs to advance ideas within this environment in meaningful and impactful ways.

Blocked

#1 - Opportunities and/or issues requiring innovation aren’t well-known/understood

Share information in advance that highlights critical needs, along with exercises focused on high-priority innovation gaps.

#2 – The types of ideas needed by the organization aren’t present

Emphasize creative brainstorming exercises to inspire new perspectives, innovative thinking, and spur everyone’s imaginations.

#3 - Employees are sharing the ideas that they already have

Create a safe space to share ideas along with easy ways to express them.

#4 – Aspects of breakthrough ideas are surfacing, but something is missing

Emphasize opportunities that build on current ideas through exercises that start with what’s already present or create new, productive interpersonal interactions that building on available ideas.

#5 - Strong ideas are buried within the organization’s to-do list

Identify intriguing ideas before the event that need additional visibility. Develop exercises that resurface and bolster these concepts, as it makes sense, during the event.

#6 - Great ideas haven’t advanced as expected

Heavy up on exercises that involve team members addressing new, innovative ways to develop and implement languishing ideas.

#7 - The organization generates helpful ideas, but struggles to implement them

Identify upfront what challenges exist in implementing current ideas. Then, assemble the people and resources vital to operationalizing ideas possessing breakthrough potential.
